Trudy Govier is a professor of philosophy at the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada.  She has worked extensively on topics  pertaining to both critical thinking and social philosophy, concentrating on themes of trust, reconciliation, and relations between victims and perpetrators.  Trudy is the author of many articles and a number of books, including Forgiveness and Revenge (2002), Taking Wrongs Seriously (2006), and A Practical Study of Argument (7th ed., 2010).  She has also participated extensively in community work in the not-for-profit sector.
